Chief Operating Officer

Ijeoma has over eight years experience building systems and structures that guide the affairs  and outputs of one of Africa’s leading civil society organizations. Her career is in the nonprofit sector, where she dedicates her skills to working with an organization that empowers  marginalized communities across Africa.  She possesses a proven history of strategically delivering on the entire gamut of development programming and a thematic range of sustainable development goals which include: education, environment, health-care, and gender equality. With over 45 successful community health, WASH and education campaigns under her belt, she is a seasoned Programs Manager that has sought to improve health outcomes, literacy, awareness and social accountability in marginalized communities across the 36 states in Nigeria and other African countries such as Kenya, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Ethiopia, Capevarde, Liberia and The Gambia .

Her core experience is in Development Programming which covers project planning and implementation, grant management, advocacy and leading operations. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Connected Development, where she drives the development and operational strategy; optimizing resources, process and people improvement; translating strategy into actionable goals for optimal performance, growth and sustainability. She provides leadership and support in resource planning and optimization, and organizational development. 

She is also a Public Health Professional  and has acquired certifications in Strategic Management and Leadership from Stratford College of Business and Management, and  NonProfit Management for Senior Executives from Lagos Business School. She is a  collaborator with strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, effective planning, implementation and good decision-making.
